Here are some books that are highly worth reading
This book was recommended to me by my best friend and it has had a very strong impact on how I perceive the world. "Ishmael" is written in a very simple way and gives a very clear explanation of the role of mythology in shaping our culture, religion and many other things we might take as something natural and inherent. In addition, I don't know anyone who would not be thrilled to read a dialogue between a man and gorilla :)
Would you like to get a good summary of the political history of Afghanistan through a personal story of two different women? If yes, then this is your book. If not, read it anyway because this fictional yet painfully realistic story will engage you more than you can imagine and makes your First World problems
(aka white whine) seem ridiculous. At least for a little while.
